Job Description

WME seeks a talented and highly motivated lawyer to join its Business Affairs department in Nashville as a Coordinator. This position will support the global Music Business Affairs group along with the music agents in the US. This is a high-volume practice with tight timeframes.


Job Description

  • Work independently to review and negotiate contracts, draft legal letters;
  • Legal research and reporting;
  • Manage and update our database of precedent; and the grids, checklists and forms used by the Business Affairs group; 
  • Be fluent in the use of MS PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets and familiar with AI tools;
  • Provide presentations/training to the BA team and music assistants where required; 
  • Advise assistants on ad-hoc legal/business affairs issues;
  • The role includes some admin support as well as assisting with legal work. This admin may include dealing with expenses, scheduling and general document work.

Qualifications

  • J.D. required;
  • Admitted to Tennessee or New York state bar;
  • 1+ year of previous transactional legal/business affairs experience;
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; 
  • A curious mind and ability to work proactively and use initiative;
  • Able to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines with efficiency and accuracy;
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients of all levels, both internally and externally in a fast-paced environment;
  • Be team-orientated, focused, hard-working, and committed.
