JOB PURPOSE
Department/Division: WOMAD Location: Neston Park Estate, Wiltshire Salary: £170 pd
To support the Production Team with build and break of WOMAD festival from start to finish, installing and de-rigging scrim site wide.
DESIGNATION OF POST AND POSITION WITHIN DEPARTMENTAL STRUCTURE
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Crew reporting to Site Manager and Production Manager.
Scrim Crew will be expected to report daily to the Site Manager and Production Manager, who will allocate jobs from the Site Office list.
Duties:
Installing scrim, reed and covers to fencing
Installing putlogs and bracing to heras
Assisting other teams with duties inc. loading/unloading, carpentry etc
Essential Skills:
Practical skills
Physically able and comfortable lifting
Good time management
Ability to multi-task and use self-initiative
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to work long days, when needed, to make sure the show happens
Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
Full driving licence required and ability to get to Charlton Park
Ability to follow H&S regulations on site and provide own PPE
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience on large event sites
Own tools relevant to the job (impact driver, adjustable spanner, hammer)
Specific working requirements:
Working hours are from 08:00 – 18:00. There will be flexibility from both sides as some longer days will be required in the run up to the event.
