Job Summary:

You will need to thrive on negotiating commercial deals, managing contract renewals, and supporting the Senior Leadership Team to drive business growth. Acting as a bridge between finance, legal, the CEO, and operations, this role will shape and structure agreements that are both competitive, commercially sound, and take into consideration the objectives of the events and business. You’ll need to be agile, resilient and able to think proactively and strategically in a business that moves fast. You’ll have strong commercial instincts and a track record of high standards and attention to detail. Ideally you will have worked in a music events, venue, arts or promoter led business. However, applicants with the right attitude, skills, and approach will be considered if they do not have direct experience within music events.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Coordinating with legal partners and key staff to implement and renew service and supplier contracts, venue and site hire agreements, and GDPR agreements, before handing over to key departments

·      Supporting relevant department heads and legal partners in negotiations with key stakeholders and site owners to finalise deals and contracting terms.

·      Ensuring insurance policies are in place, renewed on time, plus terms and any relevant processes communicated to key departments. Oversight and coordination of all insurance claims.

·      Oversight of artist and promotor contract templates and agreements, ensuring they are in line with compliance, risk frameworks, whilst providing a functioning template for the bookings department.

·      Work alongside legal partners on template renewals, insurance policies, management of the automation system, and ensuring roll out across the company

·      Supporting all departments with insurance knowledge, commercial support, and contractual negotiations.

·      Management of relationships with key commercial partners (bars, traders), assessing KPIS, interrogate pricing strategies, financial terms, commercial structures, and ongoing critique of the benefit of these relationships,

·      Work with the sponsorship team to ensure savvy deals that fit with forecasts but also the event and business strategy.

·      Supporting Operations Department with the roll out of consistent and effective venue processes and procedures. Developing this framework and process as the business grows,

·      Monitoring GDPR compliance on websites and supporting marketing in the same endeavour

·      Supporting bar operations at the venues, interrogating P&Ls, %s, GP and working with General Managers and Bar Managers to streamline costs and maximise profit

Who you are

·      3 years’ experience in a similar role within the events industry ideally. Other candidates with relevant experience in different industries will be considered.

·      Proven experience in commercial contracts, pricing and procurement

·      Experience of finalising deals

·      Negotiation skills, calm demeanour

·      Financial acumen — comfortable with margin analysis, pricing models, and Excel

·      Clear spoken and written communicator

·      Excellent attention to detail, ability to process dense information, P&L management
