YOUR ROLE
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Working within the commercial team, you will help grow Boiler Room’s brand partnerships across events, festivals, content and editorial.
A key focus will be outbound business development, identifying relevant brands and agencies and proactively generating new opportunities. You will also respond to briefs, develop creative and commercial proposals, and support partnerships from initial conversation through to delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone commercially minded, curious and highly organised, with a strong interest in brands, music and culture.
MAIN DUTIES
Proactively research and reach out to relevant brands, agencies and potential partners to generate new business opportunities.
Build and maintain target lists, identifying key contacts and developing new relationships.
Respond to inbound briefs and develop strong creative and commercial partnership proposals.
Support pitches and presentations to brands and agencies.
Develop partnership ideas across Boiler Room's events, festivals, content and editorial platforms.
Work with creative, editorial, programming and production teams to develop and deliver partnership opportunities.
Develop budgets and commercial proposals, working closely with the Head of Partnerships.
Manage day-to-day communication, follow-ups and next steps across new business opportunities.
Support the delivery and growth of existing partnerships, identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
Maintain partnership decks, case studies and other commercial materials.
Support the Head of Partnerships in achieving new business and revenue targets.
Explore ways of improving Boiler Room’s commercial proposition by developing audience, data, distribution and measurement strategy, embedding these at the core of all pitches
A guardian of our work to ensure that sponsorship pitch ideas, documents and collateral are reflective of current and future priorities
Explore areas of the business that can be enhanced via data and analytics
Work on wider sponsorship strategy across other identified revenue streams, including exploring the development of new and existing partnerships
WHO YOU ARE
3+ years experience working within a commercial partnerships environment and/or function
Experience working within the youth media and/or live events (preferably festivals) industry
You are based in or around London, UK and able to travel to and from our HQ in Hackney. We are on a hybrid working pattern and will require this person onsite at least twice a week
You are comfortable and have experience with budgeting, negotiation and reconciliation with third party providers and stakeholders
You enjoy working towards targets, specifically around generating revenue which is a key objective for Boiler Room this year
A fantastic communicator, with the ability to adapt and develop relationships with external and internal stakeholders

SKILLS
Communicate effectively in verbal and written English
Excellent computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word & Excel and Google Drive
Present and discuss ideas clearly, and to help translate concepts to the wider team in a detailed and methodical manner
