Revenue Operations Lead

Job Description

Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site's audience of over 7 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 20 years.

Today, RA operates a complex global business spanning ticketing, media, events, agency services, and software. Hundreds of millions move through our platform each year across multiple markets, entities, currencies, and payment flows.

As we enter our next phase, the challenge is not simply growth. It is building the systems, infrastructure, and operational leverage that allow us to scale efficiently while continuing to serve the culture that made RA what it is.

The role

We're looking for a strategic and data-driven Revenue Operations Lead to power our commercial success at RA.

This is a senior role within the Revenue team, acting as deputy to the Director of Revenue and taking full ownership of the operational function across the team.

The role sits at the heart of RA's commercial operation, supporting both Partnership Management and Sales across our two main revenue streams: Ticketing and Digital Advertising. You'll shape how we deliver Revenue Partnerships by optimising processes, elevating our sales pipeline through our CRM system, and leading the operational excellence behind our commercial team.

As a mentor and manager, you'll lead the Revenue Operations team, ensuring best-in-class execution across campaigns and client engagement. You'll drive innovation in sales operations, introduce automation, improve lead generation, and elevate team performance through data and dashboards. You'll also play a central role in monthly sales and commission tracking as we deliver against Revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire operation of the Revenue team
  • Directly manage and lead the Revenue Operations team, consisting of the Ad Operations Manager, Ads Ops Coordinator and Revenue Operations Coordinator
  • Support the Director of Revenue with the long-term strategic vision for the Revenue team
  • Identify opportunities to develop and continuously improve sales processes, working closely with sales team leads to identify friction points and drive adoption of operational changes
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to the sales team throughout all stages of the sales process and pipeline
  • Improve internal and external processes to best-in-class standards, ensuring CRM features, technology and integrations are fully realised
  • Act as the primary manager for RA's B2B CRM system
  • Develop and manage a suite of analytics dashboards that empower the sales team with actionable insights, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous performance improvement
  • Own and refine the monthly sales forecasting and commission reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and provide strategic insights into performance
  • Oversee financial reporting for partner payouts
  • Ensure the Revenue team works effectively across departments and support the Director of Revenue with cross-functional projects

Who we are looking for

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience within Revenue Operations, or a similar role
  • A minimum of 3 years' management experience
  • Direct sales experience is preferred, providing an understanding of the challenges and opportunities sales teams face
  • Proven experience in a strategic role contributing to overall revenue strategy
  • A passion for electronic music and an in-depth understanding of the industry
  • Experience with B2B CRM systems, ideally HubSpot
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand, manipulate and present insights from large data sets

What we offer you

  • Generous annual leave policies aimed at promoting work-life balance.
  • Flexibility in working arrangements, offering hybrid or remote work options based on role requirements and location.
  • Matching pension schemes and/or 401k.
  • Comprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health. This includes discounted ClassPass memberships and custom-fitted earplugs.
  • Company-led social events, team lunches, and discounts on RA merch.
  • Paid annual volunteering allowance, encouraging contributions to community projects and charities you care about.
  • Regular company-wide Q&A’s with senior leadership, along with ongoing virtual educational training sessions for all staff.
  • A transparent internal company culture committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (see: https://ra.co/about/diversity).
  • Active involvement in community projects within the electronic music community (see: https://ra.co/about/community).
