About the Team
The Communications team works to develop PPL’s profile and reputation in the UK and internationally, shaping how music licensing and the importance of fair pay for performers and recording rightsholders is understood around the world.
What you’ll be doing:
As Digital Content Producer, you’ll bring PPL’s brand to life across our social and video channels. You’ll devise and deliver our social media strategy and content pipeline, creating standout, on-brand assets (from short-form video to longer YouTube content) and supporting thought leadership for our CEO and Executive Leadership Team. Using performance insights and close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll continuously refine what we publish and how we engage - helping grow PPL’s digital presence and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for our audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the overall social media strategy and content pipeline for PPL
Produce high-quality social assets, including short- and long-form content for social media and YouTube, in line with brand guidelines
Lead the CEO’s social media strategy and manage an ‘always-on’ pipeline of thought-leadership content for LinkedIn
Support the wider Executive Leadership Team with LinkedIn thought-leadership content
Work closely with the Content Manager to repurpose long-form website content into visual, static and video formats
Continuously track performance metrics to inform future content and channel strategy
Design and produce engaging, on-brand visual assets (e.g., trade ads and marketing materials) for print and digital advertising
Maintain and organise the digital asset library
Manage community engagement in line with tone of voice guidance
Provide on-the-ground coverage of PPL’s industry events and engagement
Support the rollout of integrated communications campaigns across digital channels
Coordinate with internal teams to source stories, content and assets
Contribute ideas for new formats and improvements to digital output
Assist with email marketing and digital distribution
About You
This is a mid-level role that combines strategy and hands-on delivery, shaping PPL’s digital presence across social and video to support the wider communications strategy. You’ll be capable of setting direction for channel planning and formats, bringing a clear understanding of audience needs, the end-to-end content process and a genuine passion for new and emerging music.
You’ll be able to translate priorities into engaging, on-brand content, using performance insights to continuously improve our engagement and grow audiences. You’ll help maintain consistency across owned channels and support senior executives with external thought leadership.
Key Requirements:
Strong experience of producing and editing content for social media platforms including Instagram and YouTube
Graphic design and content creation experience
Excellent working knowledge of video editing software
Experience creating digital graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
Experience of driving growth for organisational social media platforms
Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong knowledge of up-and-coming musicians and bands, and an understanding of topical industry affairs.
Desirable but not essential
Experience of working with C-Suite executives on their communication strategies
Experience working with social media influencers, artists or personalities
Basic motion graphics capability
Experience working within a corporate or membership organisation
Understanding of paid social media campaigns
