Sales Executive for Brand Partnerships: Mixmag & Kerrang!

Job Description

We are looking for a commercially driven, culturally connected Sales Executive to join the team working across Mixmag and Kerrang!

This role sits at the intersection of music, media and brand partnerships, responsible for driving revenue through creative, multi-platform solutions for advertisers and partners.

You will play a key role in shaping how brands engage with two of the most influential music media platforms globally, spanning digital, social, print, events and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target and win new business across agencies and direct clients
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across both brands
  • Develop creative, insight-led proposals that align with client objectives and audience passions
  • Sell integrated campaigns spanning content, social, video, events, licensing and partnerships
  • Lead client presentations and commercial proposals
  • Manage relationships with key agency planners, buyers and brand stakeholders
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing and events teams to deliver best-in-class campaigns
  • Represent Mixmag and Kerrang! at industry events, networking opportunities and client meetings
  • Deliver against quarterly revenue targets
  • Track performance, report on pipeline and optimise sales strategy accordingly

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in media sales, brand partnerships or agency-side roles
  • Strong up-to-date network/relationships across media agencies and a wide spread of major brand marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of youth culture, music and entertainment landscapes
  • Confident pitching ideas and closing deals at multiple levels
  • Commercially minded with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets
  • Creative thinker who can translate brand needs into compelling campaigns
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy environment

Salary Range

Compensation: to be discussed (base + commission)
