Department

UMG Direct to Fan focuses on connecting artists directly with their audiences through e-commerce and digital experiences. We support labels to sell music and products via owned & operated retail stores (The Sound of Vinyl & Recordstore), artist storefronts & label stores, while also rolling out merchandise design and production. Our team delivers campaigns across all artist levels – from emerging acts to global artists – including large-scale activations tied to tours, ensuring fans can engage with and purchase products seamlessly.

The Role

The Marketing Assistant will support the Demand Team within Direct To Fan across a range of marketing activities. This includes developing engaging creative content, supporting campaign rollouts through social media & CRM, and analysing performance data. The role is ideal for someone interested in digital marketing, offering hands-on experience across end-to-end campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting weekly performance reporting and campaign updates

  • Assisting with social media planning and scheduling

  • Creating engaging digital content for campaigns

  • Supporting CRM activity

  • Taking notes in team meetings and sharing key actions

Skills and Experience Required

Must have

  • Strong interest in music, marketing, and digital culture

  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook) and a basic understanding of how content differs across them

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Experience creating content (social media, school, or personal projects)

  • Familiarity with creative tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite)

  • Basic understanding of digital marketing or CRM

  • Interest in e-commerce or online retail
