Senior Manager, Brand & Social Media Marketing

Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Brand & Social Media Marketing to take ownership of how Kobalt shows up externally and internally. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of brand, content, and platform strategy.

You’ll be responsible for shaping our social presence, producing content that reflects our clients and culture, and ensuring consistency across everything we put out into the world. At the same time, you’ll support internal stakeholders with high-quality creative assets, from presentations to company-wide communications.

This role would suit someone who is both strategic and execution-focused. Someone who is comfortable working autonomously, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality creative work from concept through to delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Social Media & Community

  • Own and manage Kobalt’s day-to-day social presence across all platforms
  • Concept, create and edit content that highlights client releases, milestones and cultural moments
  • Manage the daily content flow including graphics, carousels and short-form video
  • Monitor and engage with our community across comments, DMs and client posts
  • Partner with the Creative team to align on weekly priorities and ensure we are amplifying the right moments

Brand & Creative Production (Internal)

  • Create high-quality video and presentation assets for Board meetings, All-Hands and internal initiatives
  • Own and maintain brand templates including presentations, email signatures and internal materials
  • Manage and organise the central brand asset library, ensuring consistency across global teams
  • Partner with Internal Communications to support company-wide announcements and updates

DSP & Platform Partnerships

  • Act as a key point of contact for platform partners including TikTok, Meta, Apple and Spotify
  • Lead regular touchpoints to position Kobalt and our clients for platform opportunities
  • Coordinate with artist teams to gather assets and support execution of DSP activations

Website Management

  • Maintain and update the Kobalt website, ensuring content is current and reflective of the brand
  • Manage updates across video, imagery, press releases and team profiles
  • Partner with KTech to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity and messaging across all web content

Brand Governance & Strategy

  • Act as a guardian of the Kobalt brand, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Work cross-functionally to align teams on brand standards and messaging
  • Track and document key company wins and milestones, ensuring they are captured and shared

What You’ll Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience across social media, brand, or creative production
  • Strong hands-on experience creating content across formats, including short-form video
  • Experience managing or working closely with platform partners (e.g. TikTok, Meta, DSPs)
  • Excellent copywriting skills and confidence engaging with artists and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign)
  • Comfortable working with CMS platforms (e.g. Wix), Keynote and Google Workspace

Preferred

  • Experience working within music or entertainment
  • Spanish language skills to support our growing LatAm roster

What Success Looks Like

In 1 month: You’ll have a strong understanding of Kobalt’s brand, tone and key priorities, and be contributing to day-to-day social and content delivery

In 3 months: You’ll be confidently managing our social channels, producing content independently and supporting internal stakeholders with high-quality assets

In 6 months: You’ll have established a consistent brand presence across platforms, strengthened partner relationships, and introduced new ideas to elevate how Kobalt shows up

LA Pay Transparency Law: The range provided is for Los Angeles-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than Los Angeles may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000
