DARK MATTER redefines the interfaces between technology, creativity and interaction in order to create space for personal sensory experiences.

DARK MATTER is an exhibition of expansive light installations in a converted factory. The exhibition introduces new technical concepts made visible to the public for the very first time.

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • Oversee and manage the commissioning, daily operation, and the activation and shutdown of technical systems 
  • Ensure the maintenance, care, and servicing of event and building technology, including coordination of internal staff and external service providers 
  • Detect and promptly resolve technical issues 
  • Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the technical team, including personnel planning, task delegation, and leading regular team meetings 
  • Plan resources, organize workflows and optimize team operations 
  • Handle the installation, supervision, and dismantling of equipment for temporary events (e.g., concerts, shows, parties) 
  • Ensure a first-class appearance of the exhibition and a positive visitor experience Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations 
  • Coordinate orders and delivery schedules in collaboration with the purchasing department 
  • Establish and maintain relevant business contacts to support operations

YOU BRING: 

  • In-depth expertise in AV systems such as trussing, moving lights, sound systems, microphones, amplifiers, projectors, and other event technology 
  • Proficiency in control protocols like DMX, Art-Net and Dante, and comprehensive knowledge of power distribution and the safe installation of event technology 
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of winches, chain hoists, automation systems, and kinetic installations, ideally in an artistic context 
  • Proven experience in the technical management of events, exhibitions, and live shows Rapid troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills, even under high pressure during live events
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards for large-scale installations, including risk management 
  • Deep knowledge of maintenance, fault analysis, and servicing of technical systems Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • A solution-oriented, precise approach to work and the ability to operate independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment 
  • Fluent English and German language skills
