Job Description

Job Description:

At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:

Curiosity: We do our best work when we’re immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future.

Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans.

Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we’re committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises.

WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

Job Title: Manager, Global Digital Accounts

Reports To: Vice President, Global Digital Accounts

Department: Global Commercial Services

Location: New York, LA, Remote

A little bit about our team:

The WMG Global Commercial Services team improves WMG revenue and market share, leading through platform expertise and forward thinking solutions that support our recorded music strategy.

Your role:

As a key member of the WMG YouTube team, you will drive success by turning data into clear business strategies and creative solutions. You will serve as the team’s go-to resource for organizing information and uncovering insights, working closely with various departments and labels to strengthen our global YouTube presence. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller who is just as comfortable finding trends in the numbers as they are sharing guidelines. This role offers a 360-degree view of the YouTube ecosystem, providing a unique opportunity to see how a major record company collaborates with partners to elevate our artists and grow our business.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Serve as the WMG YouTube team’s lead data resource, applying YouTube Analytics, monthly reporting, and the YouTube API to pull, prioritize, and coordinate key data and metrics.

  • Analyze account performance, campaign data, and platform trends to provide strategic insights and guidelines to global teams and senior leadership.

  • Manage commercial programs for assigned accounts, overseeing artist campaigns and partner relationships to drive revenue and market share.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects dedicated to identifying and completing revenue-generating opportunities across assigned accounts.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on account platforms and features, educating internal teams, labels, and affiliates on guidelines, optimization, and new opportunities.

  • Serve as a point of contact for a blocking issue and coordinate with various internal departments and YouTube to resolve issues and inconsistencies within our YouTube network.

About you:

  • Strong understanding of YouTube.

  • 3–5 years experience in data analytics, preferably in music, entertainment, or digital media.

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously.

  • Proven success in turning data into actionable business strategies.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, cross-functional environment.

  • Experience with Python and/or SQL.

  • Communication and storytelling skills—able to bridge the gap between data and creative teams.

  • Diligent, with a strong sense of curiosity and problem-solving instincts.

  • Proficiency in Google productivity tools (e.g. Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.).

We’d love it if you also had:

  • Knowledge of the YouTube CMS.

  • Understanding of online video trends and practices.
