CLOAKROOM & MERCHANDISING SUPERVISOR
The Cause is an award-winning, fully independent, indoor and outdoor, multi-venue dance music institution. We are a vital part of London’s nightlife ecosystem and we pride ourselves in supporting charitable causes and championing underground dance music. Whilst maintaining the ethos of The Cause, providing a platform for electronic artists, we also opened up to a wider portfolio of entertainment, varying from food, comedy, cabaret, live music and DJ events across multiple venues.
Having secured new spaces for us to operate across London, with five venues currently in operation, we are recruiting for a variety of positions to help promote the spaces, develop and grow the team and move the business forward.

THE ROLE
As part of our dynamic team, you'll be responsible for managing our cloakroom and merchandise stand, in addition to providing exceptional customer service. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of running a busy music venue, including merchandising, cloakroom & lost property management and stock control.
Responsibilities:
Manage the cloakroom and merchandise stand efficiently, providing excellent customer service
Implement standard procedures and operations to maximise efficiency and profitability of the cloakroom and merchandise
Manage, train and develop the wider cloakroom and merchandise team
Oversee lost property and implement/improve procedures for its safekeeping and return to customers
Maintain stock control, ensuring adequate levels of merchandise are available for sale, liaising with the site managers on a regular basis for new orders - ensuring items are never out of stock
Collaborate with the bar and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations during events
Assist with the setup and breakdown of the cloakroom & merchandise spaces, and general venue before and after events
Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar role is essential
Cloakroom & merchandising experience is desirable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Knowledge of point-of-sale/cloakroom systems is an advantage
SALARY & HOURS
£13.75 per hour
Part-time position with the potential for increased hours during peak periods
Weekend & late night working is essential to the role
