Who are we?

Hype Lab is a full-service social media agency specialising in music & culture.

Since 2016, we’ve helped artists, labels, brands and festivals build online communities through great storytelling and culture-first creative.

We believe great social isn’t about selling - it’s about creating a real connection between fan and “brand”.

The role

We’re looking for a passionate, multi-skilled, senior social-native content creative - someone who can design, edit and animate with flair, and knows how to make content that engages music fans around the world.

You’ll sit within our studio team, working on a patch of clients including some of the biggest artists, DJs, club brands & music brands in the world; working with the social team to execute best in class content week in week out.

One day you might be building out style guides & visual direction for a new project, the next you might be editing a TikTok for an artist’s new single. This role combines hands-on content creation with potential for leadership responsibilities.

If you want to flex your creativity and work on a huge variety of projects & content formats each week, and want to grow with an agency that lives and breathes music and culture, this role could be great for you.

Your responsibilities

the look & feel of content, and contributing to new business pitches to establish identity right from the start.

● Build and maintain social content templates, assets, and style guides for clients to ensure consistency across social channels; and lead on or contribute to larger branding and visual identity projects.

● Produce high-quality (and lo-fi) social-first content across vertical video, design, and motion.

● Review content performance, spot areas for creative improvement and proactively suggest new formats or approaches.

● Present ideas internally and/or directly to clients, where appropriate, to build confidence in your vision.

● Share inspiration, analyse industry trends, and help shape our product offering.

● Leadership (Optional): Potential to line manage our Junior Creative - guiding briefs, giving feedback, and supporting their development.

● Work closely with social strategists, account managers, and the wider team to deliver best-in-class content.

Who are you?

You'll flourish here if you:

● Have strong design and motion skills, plus hands-on vertical video editing; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).

● Have experience developing visual identities, templates, and style guides – with a good understanding of brand identity and how to work within it (but push boundaries when needed).

● Have a great understanding of content optimisation and how creative decisions drive performance.

● Have a passion for social media – you know what’s trending and why, and how to translate that into standout content.

● Have experience presenting creative ideas internally and to clients.

● Have experience management or mentoring more junior creatives (optional)

● Have a portfolio that shows breadth, creativity, and a good understanding of visual storytelling on social.

● Feel motivated to help drive the success and growth of the company by asserting your ideas both creatively & operationally

● You’re keeping up with how AI can be utilised to help improve your own workflows, systems & productivity whilst remaining human-driven with your creative
