ABOUT JBM MUSIC

JBM Music is a leading independent live music event company, producing festivals, club shows and live events across the UK. Our family of brands includes Reggae Land, All Out Festival, Boogietown, Electric Paradise, Electric Heart, Barton LIVE, The Balearic Garden and 90s Baby, alongside a year-round calendar of club and live shows.

With over 25 years in the live music industry across dance, reggae, soul, bass, urban and live genres, from our home in Manchester.

We work on some of the biggest festivals in the UK, and we also own Joshua Brooks, one of Manchester’s best underground nightclubs and bars. We’re a growing company and this is an exciting time to join.

We are looking for a marketer who wants to help spread the word about the legendary artists & emerging talent we’re working with. Creating brands with recognition and establishing the next sell out shows!

THE ROLE

As our Marketing & PR Coordinator, you will work alongside the Marketing Manager to help curate and deliver campaigns across six to seven events at any one time, sharing ideas and helping bring them to life through social media management, e-flyers, press coverage and overseeing creator / influencer content. All public-facing activity is approved by the Marketing Manager before it goes out, so this role is for go-getters who are organised, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines.

And when the lights go on, you’ll be boots on the ground, bringing our online into reality through content capturing and helping bring our brands to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Campaign Delivery.
    • Keep activity across your events on time and on brief, chasing partners and suppliers as needed.
  • Email / CRM.
    • Write, build and send e-flyers, and keep our audience lists clean and segmented.
  • Social Media.
    • Plan and run our social channels, including Stories, scheduling and short-form content.
  • YouTube.
    • Manage uploads across our three channels, from titles and thumbnails to playlists.
  • PR.
    • Write press releases, pitch stories to the media and report on coverage.
  • Editorial.
    • Write news and feature articles for our key brands, covering artist stories, announcements and event updates.
  • Creators / Influencers.
    • Find and work with creators, from outreach and costs through to results.
  • Content & Asset Support.
    • Develop fresh content ideas for campaigns, turn them into clear designer briefs and keep assets organised within the marketing plan.
  • Planning / Reporting.
    • Keep calendars and trackers up to date and send a weekly update on progress and risks.

WHO'S IT FOR

  • Those who’ve done this before and smashed it. At least two years in venues or in the sunny festival fields, you know the UK scene like the back of your hand.
  • Excellent copy-writing and proofreading, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Confident editing short-form video and social content in CapCut or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta and TikTok, including scheduling, stories and short-form content.
  • At home with platforms such as Audience Republic and Mailchimp.
  • Comfortable writing pitches and press releases, whilst wrangling journalists, creators and influencers.
  • Energized by lots of moving parts, juggling six to seven campaigns at once and keeping every deadline on track.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • Work across eight festivals and event brands, from Reggae Land to Electric Paradise, plus a year-round club calendar and live shows.
  • Real ownership, where your own ideas can go from concept to live, working closely with the Marketing Manager in a small team where your work gets seen.
  • Be on the ground at events and festivals, creating content as it happens.
  • Time off in lieu for event days outside of Monday to Friday.
  • Guest list and a plus-one to all JBM Promoter / Touring shows.
  • Guest list at Joshua Brooks, our sister nightclub & bar.
  • A training and personal development budget to help you grow.
  • Merch drops & team socials throughout the year!
