Job Title: Manager
Location: Remote with regular in-person availability, especially in NYC, but also LA, Europe, ++
Type: Part-time to start, with room to grow into full-time
Compensation: Limited to none at start; growing with the project
Who_We_Are
TWONSKi is a Brooklyn-based French-American DJ, producer, tattoo artist, and founder of HYPURR, an independent label and event series founded in 2024. Working across deconstructed club, bass, and hyperpop, TWONSKi has released music on Deadbeats (Zeds Dead), Sable Valley (RL Grime), All The People (The Glitch Mob), Major Records, and an upcoming release on Estonian label Shelter, with support from artists including Yaeji, Baauer, DJ ADHD, DJ Babatr, VTSS, Cassius, Kesha, I. Jordan, Anna Lunoe, and Nina Las Vegas. HYPURR sits at the intersection of NYC's underground dance scene and high production club culture, with a growing roster of releases, events, and brand collaborations.
We're entering a season of significant growth — a US tour this August–September, a European run in October (Paris, London, Berlin, Tallinn, Amsterdam/ADE), a new EP on Shelter, and an expanding label and events calendar. We're looking for a Manager to help with strategy, communication, and relationship building.
The_Role
This is a hands-on, start-up management role for someone who wants to build something from the ground floor alongside an artist and label that are actively scaling. You'll work directly with TWONSKi to manage day-to-day operations, communications, and strategy across touring, releases, brand partnerships, and the broader HYPURR project.
To be clear: this is a startup role. There may not be much, if any, pay to start. This is an opportunity to grow and scale the project alongside TWONSKi, with compensation evolving as HYPURR does — not a role for someone looking for an established, fully-funded position on day one. It's an opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience in the music industry: TWONSKi has been active in it for several years now, working with some of the top labels, promoters, and industry professionals in the space.
Key_Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day communications with booking agents, labels, promoters, brand partners, and press
- Coordinate logistics for domestic and international tour dates, including travel, riders, and scheduling
- Support release planning and rollout across HYPURR and outside label partners
- Help develop and execute strategy for brand partnerships and sponsorships
- Track deadlines, contracts, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
- Represent TWONSKi and HYPURR professionally in outreach and negotiations
- Bring organizational structure and systems to a fast-moving, independent operation
Ideal_Candidate
- Strong, credible knowledge across club and bass genres — house, techno, dubstep, trap, hyperpop, jersey club, UK bass — and equally fluent in mainstream EDM and underground/leftfield club music
- Global awareness of dance music scenes beyond the US, with a strong plus for familiarity with queer scenes within those regions
- 5+ years of involvement in a dance music community or scene — this does not need to be a professional background, but it needs to be real
- A professional background outside of music is a strong asset — e.g. consulting, engineering, project management, or another field that translates into rigor, systems thinking, and follow-through
- Extremely responsive over text and email, with a bias toward fast, clear communication
- Type A, detail-oriented, and a genuine go-getter — someone who chases things down rather than waiting to be asked
- A natural people person — warm, easy to work with, and able to build genuine relationships with partners, collaborators, and press
- Able to serve as a grounding, logical counterpart to the artist — a level head who brings clarity and perspective, especially in high-pressure or fast-moving moments
- Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple moving pieces at once
