As a Junior Tracking Analyst on our Royalty Tracking & BI team, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Writer & Publisher Relations, Finance, Royalties, and Copyright teams by transforming data into valuable insights. You’ll ensure revenue from global affiliates is accurately tracked and help identify new opportunities to maximise revenue across new and existing markets. Reporting directly to the Director of Tracking & BI, you’ll be at the heart of driving transparent and actionable data solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong organisational and prioritisation skills, along with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges. A positive, can-do attitude is essential, as is the ability to tell a compelling story with data. You should be able to make sense of ambiguous business queries and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to clarify and align on deliverables. Taking ownership of creating actionable dashboards that make business intelligence accessible across departments will be a key responsibility. You will manage both recurring and ad-hoc projects, with a focus on income tracking to maximise value and provide clients with transparent, accurate royalty reporting. You should also be comfortable working with large datasets and proficient in communicating insights through data visualisation.

A basic understanding of publishing and royalty income flow across various revenue and rights streams, including radio, live performance, audio visual, and particularly the digital landscape and major DSPs.
You'll have developed a strong understanding of Kobalt's royalty tracking processes, business intelligence tools, and reporting requirements. You'll be confidently supporting dashboard maintenance, income tracking activities, and reporting requests while building strong relationships with stakeholders across Writer & Publisher Relations, Finance, Royalties, and Copyright.
You'll be independently creating and maintaining dashboards, supporting income tracking initiatives, investigating payment anomalies, and delivering meaningful analysis that helps improve transparency and supports business decision-making.
You'll be a trusted member of the Royalty Tracking & BI team, confidently managing recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis, identifying opportunities to improve tracking processes, and delivering actionable insights that maximise revenue opportunities and support accurate royalty reporting across Kobalt.
Uses data to identify trends, investigate issues, and deliver meaningful insights that support informed business decisions.
Enjoys exploring complex datasets, asking questions, and finding practical solutions to ambiguous business challenges.
Works effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, translating data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
