Job Description

About MCPR

MCPR is a global Electronic music-dedicated representation agency with 12+ years of presence at the intersection of music and culture. We've developed beyond PR into a fully integrated suite of Artist Development, PR & Promo, Social Media, Creative, A&R, Brand Partnerships and Radio - connected as one professional group.

From breakthrough solo projects to established teams, we build visions, shape careers and create authentic connections with the right audiences, across underground, mainstream and everything in between. We've provided a range of coverage for artists, DJs and labels such as Francis Mercier, OFFAIAH, Will Clarke, Tom Enzy and serviced releases on labels from Spinnin', Armada, Defected, Drumcode, Monstercat and Toolroom – to Universal, Interscope and Virgin Music.

We develop our team as seriously as we develop our artists. We care about credible, lasting careers, and demand high standards from the work we put our name to.

The Role

We are looking for a talented A&R and Artist Liaison to drive our A&R and Artist Development layers at the agency. This is a unique, demanding, hands-on role that blends A&R strategy and industry liaison, requiring deep, demonstrable, practical expertise in music production and communication.

It will best suit a seasoned Electronic music Producer with an Electronic music industry network and experience in working in a professional capacity within it. Someone who can sit in the studio as readily as they can sit across the table from a label. You will guide artists through the full demo-to-release lifecycle, help them hone and nurture their signature sound, and provide creative and technical mix and mastering mentorship that genuinely lifts the quality of their output. In spirit, you are the Executive Producer across the roster: the person who elevates artists at every level and consistently brings them closer to their milestones.

Alongside the audio work, you will discover talent that fits the agency at the right point in their career, manage demos and collaboration pitches, act as the liaison between clients, artists, management, and labels, and take real ownership of the role as it scales with us. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who is reliable, authoritative and able to adapt to the rapidly evolving demands of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients on their production, giving clear, detailed creative and sonic feedback, including technical mixing and mastering assistance

  • Provide demo development and production assistance, nurturing each artist's signature sound toward release-ready records

  • Manage strategic A&R to discover talent that fits the agency and is at the right career stage to benefit from MCPR’s unique representation

  • Handle demo pitching and act as liaison between clients, artists, management and labels on record deals and agreements

  • Pitch and broker diverse opportunities covering collaborations, booking agency, sync, publishing and more

  • Manage collaboration and remix workstreams end-to-end

  • Attend client calls to deliver rhythmic project updates and dynamic strategy

  • Source radio show guests for clients across MCPR’s radio syndication programme

  • Manage, maintain and evolve our in-house Inflyte database, delivering promos and compiling reports

  • Lead Spotify/DSP promo campaigns and build our network of independent DSP curators

  • Drive the commercial viability and long-term growth of the A&R vertical, and supervise new team members as it expands

  • Use data analysis via industry platforms such as Songstats and Chartmetric to formulate strategies and recognise where opportunities emerge from the data

  • Collaborate internally across the MCPR team to bring your unique experiences and skill set by contributing to projects across the agency.

About You

  • A seasoned Electronic music producer with strong technical command of production, mixing and mastering and the ability to communicate it to others

  • Proven ability to develop artists through demo lifecycles and shape a distinctive signature sound

  • Demonstrable A&R, label relations or artist management experience within Electronic music

  • Excellent communication skills, in writing and in person, with the ability to give constructive creative and technical feedback artists trust

  • An established network across Electronic music — labels, artists, booking agents and producers who know your work

  • A clear understanding of the Electronic music industry and its current landscape

  • Ability to manage competing client needs and deliver high-quality work under your own initiative and deadlines

What You'll Get

  • A highly dynamic role with progression opportunities within a unique and longstanding Electronic music-dedicated agency

  • The opportunity to shape and scale our A&R function as the agency grows

  • A close-knit, global team that values loyalty and rewards long-term growth

  • A platform to expand your influence within a respected Electronic music agency, working with an established roster and label network

  • Annual ADE attendance with the team, with full expenses covered
