Position Overview: 

As Marketing Manager, International Repertoire, you will play a pivotal and integral role in securing the commercial and cultural dominance of UMG’s international repertoire in the Philippine market. 

 

The “What”: 

Delivery of Impactful Marketing Campaigns 

  • Plan and execute local, innovative end-to-end marketing campaigns for the international roster of artists under the UMG label as well as other projects assigned by Head of International Marketing 
  • Champion the ideation to execution of campaigns to achieve relevant marketing objectives for priority international projects 
  • Ensure that said marketing plans utilize and factor in best practices across relevant touchpoints – from online to offline activations 
  • Secure well-timed promotional executions for all releases especially priority ones  
  • Review the performance of each campaign to pivot when there’s a need or opportunity and to contribute new learnings for succeeding projects 
  • Guide junior executives to successfully support by: 
  • Clearing pitch presentations and reports to regional and global marketing leads specific to the projects handled (reports include status updates like impact and next steps) 
  • Strategic troubleshooting of administrative and logistical elements of end-to-end campaign planning and execution 

Audience and Landscape Understanding  

  • Be the local expert for the artist’s team by providing insightful and up to date consumer, platform, and industry data – unearthing cultural and commercial truths that will inform the strategies and executions of marketing plans  
  • Use insights and data to identify target audiences and trends to inspire unique online and offline marketing strategies, unlocking high-value opportunities for the international roster 

High Value Cross-Departmental and External Partnerships 

  • Coordinate all internal departmental efforts to ensure the most effective execution of marketing plans 
  • Discover and pursue marketing opportunities with partners and communities that will contribute to the growth objectives of the international repertoire and management of budgets 

Savvy Stakeholder Management 

  • Be the point person for respective repertoire owners for promotional opportunities in the Philippines 
  • Liaise with regional and global marketing leads for all marketing and ad hoc requests 
  • Communicate effectively with repertoire owners, regional marketing team, and global marketing team  aiming for transparency and results 

Effective Team Management 

  • Develop junior executives to become the best music marketers in the business through proper goal setting, coaching, and feedback  
  • Help manage the high volume of internal and external demands by streamlining tasks and employing strategic decision-making 
  • Monitor timelines of executions and ensure this is closely coordinated with key release dates 

 

The “How”: 

  • Extensive Marketing Experience – a robust background with at least 5 years in comprehensive marketing roles, showcasing expertise across multiple platforms 
  • Managerial Potential – shows great leadership skill and enough experience in the field to be able to manage and train junior executives 
  • High Digital Marketing Acumen – a firm grasp of the constantly evolving digital marketing landscape, staying ahead of trends, and utilizing innovative strategies to engage audiences 
  • Strategic Thinking – big picture and critical thinking to solve problems, balanced with executional know-how 
  • Consumer Insight Proficiency - deep and up-to-date understanding of the landscape with a strong ability to interpret and leverage consumer insights driving successful strategies based on market demands 
  • Industry Experience – across FMCG, telecommunications, e-commerce, music, entertainment, or related sectors, providing a well-rounded and grounded perspective 
  • Proven Track Record of Success – demonstrated history of executing successful global marketing campaigns for emerging artist, showing initiative and creative thinking 
  • Strong Project Management Skills – exceptional ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, maintaining high organization and efficiency 
  • Commercial And Creative Acumen – unique blend of strong business sense and creative flair, enabling the crafting of compelling narratives around artists and their music 
  • International Exposure – experience working in diverse international environments, leading to a broader insight into global markets
