JOB DESCRIPTION
Jukebox are seeking an experienced, commercially driven, and culturally connected Business Development Manager to join our senior team and help drive the next phase of global growth for the agency. This is a high-level strategic role focused on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the wider company, spanning PR, influencer marketing, social media, creative campaigns, activations, partnerships, and experiential projects.

Working across a diverse portfolio of sectors including music, festivals, nightlife, venues, artists, record labels, lifestyle brands, platforms, consumer products, and entertainment, you will play a key role in expanding Jukebox’s international client base and commercial partnerships.

This position requires someone with strong commercial instincts, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of music, culture, and brand marketing. You will work closely with senior leadership across the business to identify opportunities, shape proposals, and lead conversations that convert into long-term partnerships and revenue growth.

THE ROLE

  • Global Business Development: Research, identify, and secure new businessopportunities across global markets, focusing on long-term revenue growth and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients across music, entertainment, nightlife, festivals, consumer brands, tech platforms, and youth culture sectors.
  • Partnership Development: Develop tailored partnership opportunities spanning PR, influencer campaigns, social media strategy, branded content, activations, and experiential marketing.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, agencies, promoters, brands, and rights holders internationally.
  • Strategic Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals, pitch decks, partnership concepts, and integrated campaign ideas.
  • Commercial Strategy: Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through upselling and cross-functional campaign solutions.
  • Industry Networking: Represent Jukebox at industry conferences, festivals, events, showcases, and meetings globally to strengthen visibility and generate opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence & Trends: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging sectors within music, entertainment, and youth culture to proactively identify growth opportunities.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with PR, social media, influencer, partnerships, and creative teams to align commercial strategy with campaign execution and agency growth objectives.
  • Revenue & Target Management: Deliver against agreed commercial targets, maintaining accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)
Success within this role will be measured against a range of commercial andstrategic objectives, including:

  • Revenue growth generated through new business acquisition
  • Number and value of new partnerships secured
  • Growth of international client portfolio
  • Client retention and upselling performance
  • Development and maintenance of qualified sales pipeline
  • Contribution to wider agency growth strategy and market positioning
  • Quality and conversion rate of proposals and pitches

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Senior-Level Experience: Significant experience in business development, partnerships, commercial strategy, or account growth within music, entertainment, media, marketing, or cultural sectors.
  • Strong Industry Network: Established network of contacts across music, festivals, brands, venues, agencies, promoters, platforms, and entertainment industries globally.
  • Commercially Minded: Proven ability to identify opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and close high-value deals.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience managing relationships at all levels, including senior stakeholders and board-level contacts.
  • Strategic Thinker: Able to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and innovative partnership opportunities that align with the agency’s positioning.
  • Presentation & Pitching Skills: Confident developing and delivering high-level pitches, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams to develop integrated solutions for clients.
  • Highly Organised: Strong project management, forecasting, and reporting capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Passion for Music & Culture: Deep understanding of the global music, nightlife, and youth culture landscape with a genuine passion for culturally driven marketing.
  • Adaptable & Internationally Minded: Comfortable working across different markets, cultures, and time zones, with flexibility to travel internationally whererequired.
