Job Description

The Role

The Junior Marketing Manager (Music Technology) under the guidance of the Head of Growth executes the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid media and digital marketing campaigns for Motive Unknown’s Music Tech clients. This role focuses on assisting in customer acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies across ecommerce and subscriber campaigns. Line managed by the Head of Growth, the ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of paid media platforms, and an eagerness to develop their technical, analytical, and strategic growth marketing skills.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Support

  • Lead the planning and execution of client paid media campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping) and Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
  • Execute the set-up, monitoring, and optimisation of campaigns with a focus conversion objectives.
  • Work with internal teams and clients to brief in creative assets for campaigns and ensure assets meet platform specifications.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor daily campaign performance, ensuring budgets are pacing correctly and KPIs are being tracked.
  • Compile regular performance reports for clients, highlighting key metrics and results under the supervision of Marketing Manager / Head of Growth.
  • Assist in analysing campaign data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.

Technical Setup & Tracking

  • Support the implementation of ad platform tracking pixels and conversion events for Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.
  • Assist with basic tasks in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and ensure accurate data tracking for campaign performance reporting.
  • Manage link creation and tracking using platforms like FFM and Linkfire and the use of UTM links.

Ecommerce & CRM Integration Support

  • Setup and manage product feeds within Google Merchant Centre and Meta Product Catalogues.
  • Support and develop client CRM programmes including the optimisation of signup, data capture, and communications using the platform.
  • Connect CRM platforms and ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce) to paid media platforms for tracking and remarketing purposes.

Client Communication & Collaboration

  • Lead client meetings and calls as required, taking notes and providing follow-ups where necessary.
  • Provide day-to-day support for clients, including campaign updates and administrative tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Growth Marketing to deliver high-quality service to clients.

Innovation & Learning

  • Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and technologies within the paid media, ecommerce, and digital marketing space.
  • Proactively seek learning opportunities to develop expertise in paid media buying, data analysis, and performance marketing.
  • Share new insights, platform updates, and best practices with the team.


Deliverables

  • Support the creation of campaign briefs and media plans.
  • Daily monitoring and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Accurate implementation of tracking across paid media platforms.
  • Regular client-ready performance reports, including insights and recommendations.
  • Contribution to internal process documents and best practice guidelines.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience running paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles, especially in ecommerce and conversion campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), ad platform dashboards, and basic performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Google Merchant Centre and Meta Product Catalogues.
  • Basic experience with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel) for reporting and data analysis.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with additional paid platforms (TikTok Ads, Snapchat Ads, Reddit Ads).
  • Understanding of CRM platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, MailerLite).
  • Familiarity with Shopify and WooCommerce ecommerce platforms.
  • Understanding of dynamic remarketing and retargeting campaigns.
  • Basic understanding of action of graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).

Location
