The Role:
Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) is seeking a Lead Marketing Strategist to support the development of marketing strategy, campaigns and consulting proposals across our global athlete, brand and federation clients.
Working directly with the Chief Marketing Officer, this role sits at the centre of RNSI’s strategic output, shaping how athletes, teams, leagues and global sporting events connect with culture, media and audiences around the world.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic thinking, building client-facing decks, crafting campaign concepts and helping translate cultural insight into compelling marketing ideas.
This is a mid-weight strategy role suited to someone with approximately 3-5 years of experience in marketing strategy, creative strategy, consulting or agency planning, who is comfortable both shaping big-picture ideas and building the materials that bring those ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of marketing strategies for athletes, teams, leagues and consulting clients
Create client-facing strategy decks, proposals and presentations
Develop campaign concepts and marketing ideas rooted in culture, sport and entertainment
Translate briefs and business objectives into clear strategic narratives
Contribute to new business pitches and consulting proposals
Work closely with internal teams across content, partnerships, PR and production to ensure strategic alignment
Help identify cultural moments, partnerships and storytelling opportunities that elevate athlete and brand positioning
Assist in shaping long-term brand platforms, campaigns and storytelling strategies
Present ideas internally and contribute to client-facing presentations when required
Support the CMO and senior leadership in the development of strategic frameworks and marketing plans
Qualifications:
Approximately 3-5 years experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, agency planning or consulting
Strong ability to build compelling decks and strategic presentations
Experience translating ideas into structured marketing strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to synthesise culture, sport, entertainment and media trends into actionable insights
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment across multiple projects
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Previous experience in sports, entertainment, culture or lifestyle marketing is strongly preferred
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
