About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support day-to-day operations across internal events, external bookings, and club nights (Thursday-Sunday). The Assistant Operations Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in London. The Assistant will manage daily venue operations, ensure smooth event execution, liaise with clients and staff, and maintain a high standard of customer service. Duties include coordinating schedules, overseeing event setups and breakdowns, managing staff resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves administrative tasks such as maintaining records, compiling reports, and assisting the operations leadership with planning and strategy. This hands-on role is ideal for someone building a career in event operations, venue management, or nightlife. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure events run smoothly and guests have a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support club operations for all events, including setup, logistics, and breakdown
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Assist with event planning and coordination for internal events, external bookings, and club nights
  • Help manage staff schedules, floor operations, and vendor coordination
  • Track inventory, equipment, and venue maintenance needs
  • Attend the weekly operations meeting to review upcoming events
  • Support ticketing, guest lists, and customer communications

Requirements

  • Interest in venue operations, nightlife, and events
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work Thursday-Sunday evenings
  • Availability to attend operational meetings during the week (Tuesday)
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Experience in event operations or hospitality is a plus
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Preferred: Level 2 Personal Licence (e.g. LASER) and/or Door Supervisor Licence (SIA)
