E1 is a versatile event venue with a unique 7am licence for extended performances. It remains a staple of London's vibrant nightlife and underground music culture.

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the daily operations at E1 across internal events, external bookings, and club nights (Thursday-Sunday). This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, requiring hands-on leadership to ensure smooth and efficient venue operations. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, coordinating with production teams, supervising staff, overseeing safety and compliance protocols, liaising with artists and vendors, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The Operations Manager will also analyse operational processes, implement improvements, and assist in financial planning to achieve business goals. The position is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career in a senior operational role within event operations, venue management, or nightlife. You will work closely with the senior operations team, ensuring events run smoothly and guests have a seamless experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all club event operations, including setup, logistics, and breakdown
  • Reporting to the Head of Operations and the General Manager
  • Oversee staff scheduling, floor operations, vendor coordination, training, and performance for operational teams
  • Track inventory, equipment, and venue maintenance needs
  • Develop and maintain operational processes, health & safety, and quality standards
  • Work closely with promoters, artists, and production teams to deliver seamless events
  • Attend the weekly operations meeting to review upcoming events
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to support ticketing, guest lists, customer communications, and on-site promotions
  • Contribute to budget management and operational planning
  • Mentor junior operations staff and develop operational best practices

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event or venue operations, nightlife, or hospitality
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work Thursday-Sunday evenings
  • Availability to work on weekdays
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Preferred: Level 2 Personal Licence (e.g. LASER) and/or Door Supervisor Licence (SIA)
