At PPL we aim to efficiently collect and pay hundreds of thousands of members for the use of their recorded music through licensing in the UK and collecting royalties from around the world.

About the role

Our Finance Director will be responsible for leading the business planning & reporting cycles, commercial support and insights, statutory, regulatory and member reporting, and delivering a framework of strong business governance and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for the finance function of circa 14 people, including 3 direct reports, across commercial business partnering, FP&A and finance controllership.  Instilling a culture of continuous business improvement and strategic business partnering, working closely with the Head of Finance Transformation and the wider business to review and optimize our systems, processes, policies, governance and controls.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Accomplished commercial finance leader with a track record of leading finance functions to deliver key strategic initiatives, business transformation, strong governance, and management and statutory financial reporting.
  • Financial controllership experience encompassing production and interpretation of financial statements, cashflow, trade working capital, budgets, revenue & cost analysis. 
  • Extensive experience in partnering with and presenting to senior management.
