Are you highly organised, detail-obsessed, and passionate about music? Universal Music Publishing Group is seeking a motivated Publishing Administration Coordinator to support our Music Publishing team in managing catalogues, copyrights, and royalty processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across publishing administration, royalty processing, copyright management, and industry compliance within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

About the Role:

  • Monitor and manage the Music Publishing administration inbox, responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in identifying, reviewing, and resolving copyright and ownership disputes
  • Support royalty audits, royalty reviews, and income tracking projects
  • Complete weekly UMPG chart analysis
  • Perform quarterly compliance controls, including auto match suspense releases
  • Register new agreements and musical works with APRA/AMCOS
  • Assist with royalty processing and statement title matching
  • Maintain and update client catalogues and internal databases
  • Provide general administrative support and undertake ad hoc tasks as required

About you:

You are organised, proactive, and thrive in a high-volume administrative environment. You take pride in accuracy and are confident managing multiple tasks and systems simultaneously.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a full-time administrative office environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player who is happy to roll their sleeves up and do what needs to get done!
  • Excellent data entry, filing, and organisational abilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word essential)
  • Strong systems aptitude to accommodate training on our bespoke UMPG and music society systems 
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience within music, media, or music publishing
  • Ability to interpret publishing agreements and contracts
  • Degree qualification (preferred but not required)
