Senior Accountant, D2C, NRI & Artist Royalty Management

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for overseeing the complete accounting cycle for D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) and physical retail channels, in addition to managing artist royalty statements and related financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in SAP and Cordis, and a solid understanding of both Vietnamese and international accounting standards.

What You’ll Own:

  • D2C & Inventory Accounting

    • Inventory Control: Manage the end-to-end accounting process for physical/merchandise. This includes controlling stock movements through the Cordis system, reconciling inventory data from e-commerce sites like Shopify with 3rd party logistics providers, and coordinating physical stock counts.

    • Sales & Billing: Ensure accurate and timely billing for all D2C and physical retail sales. Reconcile payment gateway transactions, managing refunds, chargebacks, and associated fees.

  • Royalty & Artist Statement Management

    • Statement Preparation: Manage the quarterly royalty statement process for artists. This includes updating advance recoupment files and individual recoupment summaries.

    • SAP & System Processing: Create Artist Statement Summaries (AST) in SAP, upload them to the royalty processing system (SRDP), and transfer them to the vendor folder for record-keeping.

    • Payment Processing: Verify and process invoices from artists for payment. For individuals who do not require invoices, process a balance transfer in SAP from the artist's royalty account to their main account.

  • Non-Recorded Income (NRI) and Expense Management

    • Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for business and artist teams to proactively gather and verify all documentation related to non-recorded income (e.g., brand sponsorships and performance fees) and their corresponding expenses.

    • Reconciliation & Recording: Perform a thorough monthly reconciliation of all NRI and expenses against bank statements. You will be responsible for meticulously checking the integrity and detailed data of all documents submitted by business and artist teams.

    • Reporting: Prepare and present a concise monthly NRI summary report for key stakeholders, providing a clear financial picture of all non-traditional revenue streams.

  • General Accounting, Operating & Compliance

    • Tax & Audit: Play a key role in supporting all external and internal audit processes. Take primary responsibility for assisting in the preparation of all tax filings and ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, PIT, WHT, and CIT. Providing HR support in the preparation of Personal Income Tax (PIT) reports for NRI individuals and royalty-related activities

    • Financial Posting: Prepare and post all relevant journal entries in SAP and MISA , ensuring sales revenue, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and inventory are accurately recorded.

    • PTP & OTC: Oversees and manages revenue and expenditure activities, ensuring timely revenue collection and accurate, complete processing of all expenditures

    • Administration: Other general office administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects such as required

  • Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager.

Who You Are:

  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field.

  • At least 3 – 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.

  • Strong working experience of SAP is required, with experience in Cordis as a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience with inventory and cost accounting is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and experience with IFRS/GAAP reconciliation is a plus.

  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken).
