Your role:
To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Director of Procurement who is fueled by a passion for overall team success. Our ideal candidate has a creative, problem-solving mindset, disciplined focus on scalable processes. This role will work collaboratively with all business partners across Warner Music Group.
Here you’ll get to:
Participate in the design of our new ERP system with regards to purchasing process flows, purchase orders, etc., bring best practice recommendations
Negotiate the best pricing deal for supply contracts, while ensuring the products and supplies are high quality
Build, communicate, and implement project plans and timelines. Identify the required support, dependencies, and barriers, as well as track and report on progress/issues
Deliver financial and operational value by leading negotiations with vendors on the scope of work, commercial terms, revenue-sharing, and other legal and contractual terms as needed.
Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers and price options, develop plans for future purchasing of goods and services on behalf of the GroupM and agencies
Develop a strategy for building out a Procurement Team, adding a manager(s), analyst(s), etc. to complete duties as needed
Liaise with WPP Procurement and represent GroupM in WPP’s procurement / cost savings initiative
Build and maintain vendor relationships to maximize value and to build a best-in-class supply chain across multiple marketing spend categories
Develop a vendor database and mechanisms to track vendor performance, using data to drive improvements
Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
Create and maintain good relationships with non-media vendors/suppliers
Prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion in all purchasing decisions, and track diverse spend and suppliers
Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times and potential future development
Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data and make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field; preferred solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy and systems
Bachelor's degree in economics, business, supply chain management, or a related field required; MBA preferred
7+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, to include at minimum 5 years in an indirect procurement function, at an international organization
7+ years of experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (strategic sourcing management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
5+ years of experience in developing category plans and sourcing one or more of the following commodities: Temp Labor, Security, Robotics, Material Handling or other Engineered Equipment, IT, Packaging, Outsourced Services, Construction, or Real Estate
Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace, DocuSign
Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Ability to negotiate, establish and administer contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
Goal-oriented, organized team player

Preference for a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position

This position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range$170,000 to $185,000 AnnuallySalary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
