We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to support and elevate the digital presence of an internationally respected producer, DJ, and cultural curator. This role is ideal for someone deeply connected to music culture, highly organized, visually sharp, and skilled in digital storytelling, with a strong focus on execution and clear reporting to management.
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or digital marketing in the music/creative industry.
Experience working freelance and managing tasks independently.
Availability for 5–15 hours per week, with flexibility around release schedules, tours, and event timelines.
Create, execute and publish high-quality posts, stories, and reels for the artist's Instagram and related channels based on agreed direction and priorities from management.
Organize and manage a content calendar aligned with releases, tours, partnerships, and long-term brand strategy.
Coordinate media assets (video, photo, audio clips) and ensure consistent visual and brand identity.
Liaise with promoters, festivals, agencies, and partners to align marketing plans and provide timely assets, as directed by management.
Track and manage marketing deliverables and timelines around tours, residencies, events, and releases.
Update and maintain Linktree, website, and other digital touchpoints.
Prepare concise campaign and performance updates (e.g. weekly or per campaign) for management, including key metrics, wins, and recommendations.
Monitor and respond to messages, comments, and engagement across platforms while maintaining the artist's voice and tone.
Flag important messages, opportunities, or issues to management in a timely way.
Identify opportunities for audience growth, engagement, and platform optimization, and report these back with actionable suggestions.
Demonstrated experience managing social media for artists, brands, or cultural projects, with an understanding of professional boundaries, discretion, and reputation management in the public eye.
Proven ability to work confidentially and responsibly with unreleased material, private information, and sensitive timelines.
Hands-on experience with social media management and basic editing tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, CapCut, Canva, etc.), with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of digital content trends, analytics, and music community culture, with the ability to prioritize long-term artist positioning over short-term hype.
Ability to create engaging visuals (basic editing for reels, stories, and posts) while maintaining a cohesive brand identity and tone.
Excellent communication skills and a measured, professional approach when interacting with fans, partners, promoters, and industry peers.
Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working behind the scenes, following direction and reporting clearly to management.
Familiarity with dance music, high-profile DJ culture, and global music communities, with respect for legacy, context, and cultural nuance.
This role requires a high level of professional judgment, discretion, and an understanding that trust and long-term relationships are central to the music industry.
