We are currently seeking a Collaboration Technology Engineer with expertise in collaboration tools and platforms. As a key member of the UMG Global Technology team, the Collaboration Technology Engineer is responsible for the administration, integration, and optimization of enterprise collaboration platforms and productivity tools. The position will be a team player working to expand and mature the collaboration solutions for use within our enterprise. This role will help coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technology across the organization to ensure service, quality, and continuity for our business units and teams. The ideal candidate has experience supporting a wide range of collaboration technology platforms.   

   

In addition to having strong technical skills, you must be comfortable in effectively communicating with business end users, technical IT teams, business partners, network providers, and business process outsourced vendors, all while being sensitive to a wide diversity of cultural and technical backgrounds in a global business environment.   

 

Job Functions 

  • Lead employee collaboration experiences and ensure our global users have access to reliable and efficient technology solutions that empower them to excel in their roles and drive business success.    

  • Gather requirements to implement and maintain collaboration and productivity tools.   

  • Support day-to-day collaboration and productivity tools to ensure a superior and reliable user experience.    

  • Track project status, provides reporting, and reports back to leadership and internal customers.    

  • Responsible to create and maintain tech standards and training materials.    

  • Identify opportunities and develop business case justifications for spending and initiatives, including identification of risks and cost/benefit analyses.   

  • Administer and configure collaboration platforms (M365, Google Workspace, Slack, Box.com, etc.) to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient operations.   

  • Enforce organizational standards for collaboration platforms, including workspace roles, provisioning protocols, and compliance requirements.   

  • Collaborate with security and privacy teams for third-party app reviews and risk assessments.   

  • Track assigned department ticket queues, ensuring prompt resolution.   

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support and training for collaboration tools, ensuring high user satisfaction.   

  • Monitor system health, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot platform issues.   

  • Evaluate new tools and features for deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals.   

  • Track usage metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and develop business cases for tool adoption or retirement.   

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.   

Job Requirements 

Essential Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technology project task-based role with a minimum 2 years' experience supporting various collaboration and productivity platforms. Similar platform experience will be considered.   

  • Engineering degree, certification or equivalent experience.   

  • Expert in Microsoft 365, Google Workspaces, MS Power Platform, Monday.com   

  • Proficient with Box.com, Lucid, Slack, ChatGPT   

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terms to layman’s terms.   

  • Organized, with the ability to multi-task with excellent follow through.   

  • Strong project management skills.   

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.   

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders.   

  • Experience and comfort in delivering presentations to senior leadership.   

  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a team and independently.    

  • Ability to travel globally if required.   

  • Schedule flexibility to work with partners in multiple global time zones.   

  • Willingness to learn and lead to resolve issues.
