Bookings & Events Coordinator

(Full-time, London – The Cause)

About the Role

The Cause is looking for a highly organised and methodical Bookings & Events Coordinator to support the Head Booker and Director across our group of venues, clubs, and hospitality spaces in London.

This is a nuts-and-bolts, admin-driven role with responsibility for advancing shows, coordinating external hires and shoots, managing payments and invoicing, and keeping all listings and partner platforms up to date. You’ll also play a key part in developing new business opportunities, negotiating rates, and ensuring our venues are maximised for events, shoots, and hires.

It’s not always glamorous, but it’s one of the most important roles in keeping the machine running smoothly. The right candidate will be detail-driven, self-motivated, and thrive in making sure everything behind the scenes is delivered on time, on budget, and to the right standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on advancing and communications for all external hires, film shoots, and location bookings
  • Manage diary scheduling and confirm leads from the wider programme and promotions team
  • Track, process, and chase payments and invoices for external shows, shoots, and hires
  • Lead on advancing for internal show artists
  • Provide general admin support to the Head Booker and Director, including correspondence, file management, and scheduling
  • Research and proactively outreach for new business opportunities across promoters, corporates, brands, shoots, and location work
  • Negotiate and secure competitive rates with partners, suppliers, and collaborators
  • Ensure all listings sites (Resident Advisor, Skiddle, Dice, etc.) are accurate, up to date, and optimised for visibility and sales
  • Identify and onboard new platforms and partners, keeping information consistent across all channels
  • Assist with large bookings and hires for all F&B-led venues
  • Support the wider programme and promotions team on ad hoc tasks across admin, marketing, socials, and content
  • Contribute to the promotion of in-house shows alongside the programme and promotions team
  • Generate and share ideas for new business opportunities — not only across gigs, shows, and shoots but also in wider hospitality and venue innovation
  • Take part in, and occasionally lead, venue meetings to ensure forthcoming show details are communicated clearly to all relevant parties
  • Maintain a methodical, detail-driven approach to ensure no detail is missed and every opportunity is acted on promptly

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills — confident with spreadsheets, systems, and contracts
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple projects organised at once
  • Experience or confidence liaising with external film/production crews, promoters, and agencies
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Proactive, self-motivated mindset — able to spot errors, gaps, and opportunities without waiting for instruction
  • Comfortable in a role that is more operational and admin-led than creative
  • Passion for nightlife, events, or hospitality is a bonus, but precision and efficiency come first

Salary & Terms

• £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (gross salary) based on a 40-hour working week
• Full-time, 5 days per week (40 hours)
• Based in London across The Cause and our wider group of venues
