US   Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.    We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now owned by Sony) and stage giant dance events. We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.    Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The Marquee Moon is the latest project from the team behind the Cause. While still keeping music at its heart, it has a more prominent focus on food & beverage. Cocktails, natural wines and an in-house kitchen offering, all paired with refined musical selections from some of the most esteemed diggers around. While the project will still feature a late-night offering with music playing a big part, this is not a nightclub, the venue spans two distinct areas in the heart of Dalston, housed within a historic pub building.   THE ROLE   The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the GM and AGM in developing and delivering short, medium and long term strategies to mitigate challenges and ensure the full commercial potential of the business.
