The site's audience of over 7 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 20 years.

Today, RA operates a complex global business spanning ticketing, media, events, agency services and software. Hundreds of millions move through our platform each year across multiple markets, entities, currencies and payment flows.

As we enter our next phase, the challenge is not simply growth. It is building the systems, infrastructure and operational leverage that allow us to scale efficiently while continuing to serve the culture that made RA what it is.

The role

This is a newly created role and the first time we have brought credit control in-house at RA. You will own the full collections process across the group, with the opportunity to build it properly rather than simply maintain an existing process.

Alongside invoice collections, you will manage financial support and benefits provided to promoters against agreed terms. This brings you close to how RA works with promoters and makes the role broader than invoice chasing alone.

As you become established, there is a clear opportunity to grow the role by taking on more payment processing, finance operations and process improvement work.

Responsibilities

• Own collections across RA's full debtor book, chasing unpaid invoices by phone and email and following up with relevant internal stakeholders, including Sales and Account Management
• Track promoter loan balances against agreed repayment schedules, chase repayments as they fall due and escalate accounts that move off track to the Financial Controller
• Raise invoices and credit notes for your collections work, keeping client account records accurate and current
• Provide regular, clear updates on debtor and loan balances to the Finance team
• Action agreed deductions through RA's ticketing platform where this is the appropriate route to recover a balance
• Review relevant contracts and deal terms—including discounts, payment terms and loan terms—to maintain accurate tracking for your accounts
• Escalate issues promptly, including unresponsive stakeholders, accounts requiring legal action and processes that are not working effectively
• Identify opportunities to improve credit-control processes, tools and reporting, with scope to support payment processing and wider finance operations over time.

What good looks like after six months

You have a detailed command of the debtor book: who owes what, why and what action is being taken. Balances do not get written off simply because someone has stopped responding. Promoter loan repayments are tracked accurately, issues are escalated early and stakeholders are not caught out by accounts moving off track. You proactively raise problems and improvement ideas rather than only working through tasks as they arrive.

Who we are looking for

Essential

• Solid, demonstrable experience in a credit control, collections, treasury, operations, business operations, or a related process-driven role, with the ability to manage financial workflows, maintain accurate records and ensure actions do not drift
• Confidence using Excel to build and maintain effective tracking without relying on a ready-made template
• A clear, confident communicator who is equally comfortable chasing an external client and following up with an internal stakeholder
• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to process in a high-volume, low-value environment
• Sound judgement, consistent follow-through and genuine commitment to collecting money owed
• Genuine affinity for electronic music culture and RA's mission.

Desirable

• Direct experience in credit control or collections, including chasing professionally and following through on money owed
• Experience managing structured repayments or loan tracking, beyond invoice collections
• Experience working across multiple currencies or legal entities
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• An interest in improving processes, tools and ways of working
• An accounting background or qualification is not required for this role.

This role is a permanent position based in London at our Head Office. Applicants must be based in London and able to work from the office three days per week. The annual salary range for this role is £30,000–£40,000. If you have questions about the role, please contact work@ra.co.
