Office & Label Intern

Job Description

Supporting the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep label teams and the Operations team, you will gain experience of the day-to-day workings of a record label business.  You will assist Product Managers with music product releases, and work as part of the Operations team ensuring the smooth running of our London office.  

This is a fast-paced role where you will be required to juggle multiple responsibilities at once, sometimes working to tight deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for dance music who is eager to start their career in the music industry.

 

Location: Bermondsey, London

Working pattern: Full-time (5 days/week) in-person at our lively Bermondsey office

Contract: One-year fixed-term contract

Within the office, the Label & Operations Intern is responsible for:

 

●      Supporting daily office operations: opening and securely closing all office buildings each day, and general upkeep of the office space, maintaining a tidy and safe environment for everyone to work in.

 

●      Front desk: greeting visitors, answering phones, and assisting with front-desk enquiries.

 

●      Mailroom: handling incoming / outgoing post and parcels, including courier bookings.

 

●      Kitchen: oversee kitchen and bathroom supplies, maintaining stock levels, and weekly kitchen maintenance tasks, as well as ensuring the kitchen is stocked and well-presented throughout the day.

 

●      Studio: managing kitchen and bathroom supplies in our recording studio, and supporting our Studio Manager with maintaining a tidy environment.

 

●      Stock: organising and managing the physical product stock inventory, including merchandise, CDs and vinyl.

 

●      Stationery: managing office supply stock and keeping the stationery cupboard well-organised.

 

●      Events and meetings: supporting with the organisation and logistics of meetings, staff social events, and other events as required.

 

●      Support: assisting staff with ad hoc tasks and providing operational support.

 

Supporting our Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats labels, the Label & Operations Intern is responsible for:

 

●      Music releases: assisting in the overall preparation, marketing and reporting of music releases.

 

●      Filing: filing and organising audio and visual assets within our server and cloud-sharing services (Google Drive, DISCO).

 

●      Data entry: inputting data/links into our release schedule and keeping up to date.

 

●      Events: researching, booking and helping to set up and run relevant label marketing events, shoots and content days.

 

●      Uploading: Managing & optimising video and audio uploads on YouTube and SoundCloud.

 

●      Researching: using tools including FUGA, Chartmetric, Songstats, and DSP backends to research streaming and sales data, and compiling reports.

 

●      Meeting minutes: taking minutes during team meetings and managing the task lists for product managers.

 

●      Social media: briefing and creating social media assets to assist in the marketing of releases.

 

●      Video editing: basic video editing tasks using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

 

●      Graphics editing: basic graphic editing tasks using Adobe Photoshop.

 

●      Audio editing: basic audio editing tasks using Ableton Live.

 

●      Feedback: providing feedback on long-form video content including filmed DJ sets.

 About you:

 

The ideal candidate for this role will likely have:

 

●      the ability to approach all projects with passion, curiosity and tenacity

●      a proactive and intuitive mindset, and eagerness to learn

●      an approachable demeanour, and willingness to collaborate with a team

●      exceptional organisation and communication skills

●      an interest in working in the music industry, and a passion for dance music

●      strong computer and software skills (Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, Gmail)

●      knowledge of DSPs and their basic functionality (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, YouTube, Soundcloud, Beatport)

●      basic audio and video editing skills (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Ableton / Logic Pro) are desirable but not essential – you can learn on the job!

●      strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary Range

£28,000 per annum
