Overview:
We are seeking a passionate External Events Programmer to join fabric’s programming
team.This position is to provide end-to-end development and delivery of external events (i.e.,
events not held at fabric), partnering with fabric’s Senior Bookers to develop and deliver
external event opportunities that expand fabric’s reach while supporting the fabric club
programme and existing relationships.
A passion for electronic music, an intuitive understanding of artist and audience needs, and
proficiency in liaising with artists and agents is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for

Reporting & Structure:
The External Events Programmer works with Senior Bookers to identify opportunities to
develop artists via events held outside fabric. This role will work closely with an External Events Marketing lead to promote and market these events.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Development:
● Identify, research, and develop external event opportunities aligned with fabric’s
values and strategy
● Explore new formats, partnerships, collaborations, and locations outside the core
club programme
● Propose external event opportunities that we can offer to artists alongside a booking
at fabric and dentify emerging, off-the-radar, and developing artists not currently
active in fabric’s booking ecosystem
● Participate in regular programming meetings to ensure calendar alignment and
long-term planning
Artist, Agent & Booker Coordination:
● Research artist availability in coordination with Senior Bookers
● Ensure all artist and agent communications are aligned with, and visible to, Senior
Bookers
● Structure offers appropriately, including opportunities that combine external events
with fabric dates
● Maintain strong, professional relationships with agents and artists
Commercial & Delivery
● Research and secure suitable venues for external events
● Prepare accurate event budgets and P&Ls, including artist fees, production,
technical, staffing and marketing costs
● Cost shows realistically to support viable commercial decisions and sustainable
offers
● Work with fabric logistics team to advance technical and production requirements
(riders, specs, logistics)
● Support delivery and on-site execution once projects are approved
Marketing & On-Sale Coordination:
● Work closely with the External Events Marketing Lead to align announcements,
on-sale dates and campaign timelines
● Ensure marketing activity is timed appropriately and does not conflict or cannibalise
fabric’s core programme
● Keep agents and artists informed of ticket sales progress and campaign milestones
Team Contribution
● Support fabric’s overall programming activity as a trusted member of the
programming team
● Share insight, opportunities and market intelligence across the department
Requirements:
● 2+ years of experience in an event booking / programming or promotion role
● A strong passion and in-depth understanding of electronic music, aligned with fabric’s
programming.
● Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and prioritise effectively
● Commercial awareness and confidence working with budgets and P&Ls
● Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
● Excellent written and spoken English
● Residence in or near London, as this is an office-based role.
