THE ROLE

Vibee is seeking a motivated and independent Junior staff Accountant to oversee critical accounting functions for various locations. This role will also assist month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and help with special or ad hoc projects as needed. This position reports to Vibee’s Manager of Finance and Director of Operational Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all money requests (e.g., wires, cash, show checks) for production and/or show settlement

  • Review show settlement immediately following the show and work with operations team who settle the show

  • Prepare event P&L (or flash) and event related journal entries.

  • Review and monitor Oracle event reports for reasonableness.

  • Finalize shows no later than ninety days after the event date.

  • Make sure that all receivables, receipts, and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely; participate in and monitor collection of receivables

  • Own G/L, flash and maintain for your assigned settlements

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet

  • Prepare and enter month end journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • 3-5 years related work experience (previous Entertainment experience a plus)

  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Project Management Experience

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets – advanced Excel experience preferred

  • Oracle experience a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments on site at our events

  • May sit for extended periods of time and work in drastic temperature climates onsite at our events

  • Must be willing to travel as required both domestically and abroad, if required

  • Must have a current passport and be able to travel worldwide without restriction

  • Must be able to multi-task, follow up, communicate with staff/management in a positive manner, be organized and meet strict deadlines.

  • You may be required to work late, or on a weekend and/or holiday during month end close.  Month end close consists of the last day of the month through the first week of the month.
