THE ROLE
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and administering learning and development initiatives that support employee growth, engagement, and organizational performance. This role builds engaging learning experiences and facilitates training programs that are delivered effectively and consistently. This is a fully in office position and required to be in the Calabasas, CA office 5 days per week and travel to various office and event locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Design & Facilitation
Design and deliver training programs on topics such as onboarding, professional skills, leadership, and role-specific learning
Create select training modules that integrate into the broader new hire onboarding experience
Facilitate engaging in person and virtual training sessions at all levels
Develop learning experiences tailored to the needs of the entertainment and creative industries
Learning Content & Instructional Design
Create workshops, guides, toolkits, job aids, and scalable e-learning modules
Build interactive learning experiences using modern instructional design tools and adult learning principles
Maintain and evolve training resources to reinforce learning and support long term skill development
Systems & Training Operations
Manage course set up, enrollment, tracking, and reporting within Learning Management System (LMS)
Maintain training schedules, materials, and documentation to ensure smooth program delivery
Monitor participation and completion rates to assess engagement and effectiveness
Data, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
Measure training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, knowledge checks, and performance outcomes
Leverage LMS analytics and engagement data to evaluate impact, knowledge, retention and ROI
Recommend and implement improvements to content, structure and delivery methods
Stay current on learning and development best practices and trends within our industry
Collaboration & Vendor Management
Partner cross functionally to align training initiatives with evolving business needs
Coordinate with external trainers, consultants, and vendors to deliver specialized learning programs
Manage vendor-created content to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with company standards
Provide training and enablement support to employees, clients, vendors and partners as needed
Contribute to additional projects and initiatives that support team and company goals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s a plus)
Minimum 3+ years of experience in training design, facilitation, and administration
Hands on experience designing and publishing e-learning modules in platforms such as Articulate, Workday and Airtable is required
Creative problem-solving mindset; able to thrive in a fast-paced, entertainment-driven environment
Experience with LMS administration and reporting, including SCORM/xAPI content management
Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences
Proficiency in instructional design and creative tools, including:
Articulate, Captivate, Canva (e-learning & instructional design)
Photoshop, Illustrator (graphic design for training assets)
Microsoft Powerpoint (advanced presentation development)
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
Familiarity with evaluating training ROI and aligning programs with business outcomes
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location
Must be able to work in open concept office space

Hiring Salary Range: $70,304.00 - $85,000.00 USD

The expected compensation for this position is:
$68,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
