Job Summary:

Title: Director, A&R Admin 

Reports to: Head of A&R Operations

Location:  New York, NY (On-Site, 5 days a week in office)

The Role:

Roc Nation Distribution is looking for a Director, A&R Admin to drive and support our client services with a focus on administration across our Distribution catalog.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong administrative capabilities, exceptional relationship skills and a deep understanding of digital music platforms. The ideal candidate has the ability to interface directly with artists and management and is understanding of the creative and business processes and different artist dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and administer the recording budgets for an entire roster of recording projects in a variety of music genres

  • Facilitate submission, review, and tracking of detailed paperwork in connection with project delivery

  • Gathering required paperwork to ensure music is cleared for release into the marketplace

  • Ensure accurate record keeping for the purposes of proper documentation to indemnify the corporation

  • Manage all aspects of the Accounts Payable process in relation to recording budgets

  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally to all stakeholders throughout the recording process

  • File and process all union-related (SAG-AFTRA & AFM) contracts, as applicable

  • Budget analysis, creation, and reforecasting

  • Collaborate with A&R to submit invoices and authorize expenditures

  • Gather tax forms and union paperwork to ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement

  • Prepare reports and project summaries as requested by various departments

  • Provide information as requested by the Accounting Royalties team

  • Assist the President & Head of A&R Operations with monthly financial forecasting of project spend

Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in an A&R Administration position 

  • Able to quickly gain proficiency in proprietary systems (i.e., Airtable)

  • Demonstrable project management and quantitative analytical skills, including effective strategic planning and budget modeling

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across creative, corporate and business teams

  • Solutions-oriented, proactive and comfortable working both independently and within a robust team environment 

  • Excellent understanding of basic Accounts Payable procedures

  • Familiarity with recording budget line items and the basics of the recording process

  • Solid data entry skills with a very strong attention to detail

  • Superior organizational and time-management abilities

The expected compensation for this position is:

$112,000.00 USD - $140,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
