We are looking for a broadly experienced Senior Editor to join our Music Culture & Editorial Team in the Spotify HQ in Stockholm, with a focus on Norwegian music. You will identify and execute first rate music playlist listening- and programming experiences for a multitude of moods, moments and genres, demonstrate a passion for performance-oriented analytics and will have your ear to the ground in the music community. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music! What you’ll do: Be part of the team handling the daily music programming and editorial strategy for Norway and the Nordics, working out of our HQ in Stockholm Identify and substantiate music programming, and playlist hypotheses Curate and maintain a substantial number of varied playlists Build and maintain strong editorial relationships with the Norwegian creator community including artists, managers, record label and publishing companies Work with Spotify’s global editorial team as well as other cross-functional teams, to progress towards various content objectives Road manage, present and follow up on strategic bets within the nordic Music Team and represent the Music Culture & Editorial team in cross-functional bets within the company. Analyze analytics and performance indicators of your own work Who you are: You possess a perfect level of written and spoken Norwegian and English Live and breathe music every day Have several years of experience in the Norwegian music industry, being deeply rooted in the country’s music scene and it’s marketplace, with an established reputation therein. Experience of programming/curating music for tv, radio, digital or other media outlets, with a broad range of genres, is a plus. On top of your broad music knowledge, genre specific expertise is also a plus. You pay attention to detail and organisation, have strong work ethic and a friendly, warm attitude Possess a genuine interest in the evolution of the playlist format and its expansion beyond music into richer media and new experiences Basic Photoshop skills Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of, and experience with, Spotify as a user and fan You have a story that demonstrates your passion for music that you can tell us about Finally, you are a great teammate that loves to have fun at work and always have a positive attitude!
