Reports to: UK Country Manager Based in: Glasgow Contract type: Freelance, 5 hours/week The City Manager's primary focus is to support the local electronic music scene in Glasgow through content and editorial as part of the RA Contributor Network, which aims to support local scenes around the world. The City Manager is responsible for keeping club and event listings updated and accurate, adding missing events, clubs, artists, labels and promoters to the site and helping users and readers discover the best events and music Glasgow has to offer. They will also be selecting and writing RA Picks for events in the City. The City Manager will be hosting monthly meetups with RA readers and music lovers from the local electronic music community, to share ideas and get feedback. Key responsibilities include: Pitching local news from Glasgow Selecting and writing RA Picks for Glasgow Adding local content (events, artists, labels) Maintaining the club database, updating them with pics, logos, addresses & links Flagging interesting local stories, artists and labels for the editorial team Coordinate local contributors Host monthly meetups Assist with IRL events Attend events Monthly measurable tasks: 10 events added every week 1 Instagram contribution per month 1 Mix of the day suggestion per month from a local artist 1 meetup per month This is a freelance role (5 hours a week) preferably spread out across the week. The City Manager must live and breathe electronic music and know all about what's new and exciting in their scene. The position is limited to a 2-year maximum term.
