Location: Kings Cross & Streatham with some remote working Salary: £75,000 - £78,000 per annum Term: Permanent Closing Date: Tuesday 3 December 2019 We are looking for a talented Financial Controller to manage, monitor, control and record the financial transactions of the company. This role will focus on complying with all statutory, compliance, management and Board requirements for accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury and payments. This role will be accountable for delivering a clean audit and annual statutory accounts for the operating companies, including consolidation. Working with auditors and representatives of the companies, this role will aim to resolve all queries on a timely basis to meet Board deadlines whilst ensuring financial information is recorded accurately, in a timely manner and in line with the relevant accounting standards/the company’s financial control policies. With responsibility for the balance sheet accounting, you will ensure the closing balances are accurate and any outstanding items are investigated fully and resolved. The role will also include, but not limited to: Responsibility for the Treasury department, ensuring processes and systems are fit for purpose for the team to meet key deliverables of inter-company funding and accounting, bank reconciliations and bank account maintenance, as well as reporting to senior management and Boards on all cash and treasury related matters Oversight of funding analysis and investment decisions Responsibility for the Accounts Payable functions, including in-house Payroll services, ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax regulations and ensuring rules and procedures are clearly defined and communicated to the business Working closely with other Finance teams to continually improve end to end financial processes to reflect best business practice and meet the business needs Support the Director of Finance in projects and initiatives to ensure company financial systems and controls are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth Identifying people development opportunities for the team aligned to the finance vision and the wider organisation’s needs Developing managers with leadership potential and providing support in the development of their reports Supporting the Management team in building financial awareness across the senior management community and wider organisation About You You will be a confident people manager with proven experience/background in tax accounting, treasury and payments, accounts payable and process improvement. You will be experienced in establishing new ways of working and process improvements. You will be flexible, adaptable and highly organised with the ability to handle changing priorities and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be fully qualified with significant post qualification experience. Preferably ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Why PRS?
