This will be a key role at UMPG in our Global Digital Administration department, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal operations of UMPG’s direct and special purpose vehicle (SPV) DSPs licenses and to monitor their performance. The role will have a focus on the Asia Pacific region.
You will manage operational relationships between UMPG and our digital licensing hubs as well as our regional and local UMPG teams.
This team operates a hybrid working policy of 4 days per week in the office, with 1 day working from home.
Be Strategic
Use a variety of data sources such as consumption data, society distribution and processed royalty data to provide insights for our licensing and finance teams and project the outcomes of strategies and scenarios to help drive value for UMPG’s songwriters and publishing partners.
Be Collaborative
Facilitate optimal claiming processes, engage with and work alongside our global, regional, and local copyright and tracking teams to help deliver on contractual obligations and expectations. Manage business unit expectations and provide timetables where appropriate.
Contribute to the harmonisation of UMPG’s digital data streams globally and help to drive data improvements with partners.
Work with licensing, regional finance and digital hubs to record and track financial positions.
Various ad-hoc projects assigned by the Senior Director of Digital Administration.
Be Innovative
Develop expertise across the operational and market landscapes. Curate your knowledge into resources for the wider business.
Contribute to the development and optimisation of business processes and tools, both internally and cross-industry. Identify issues, suggest, and implement solutions.
Essential
Proven track record working at a DSP, Music Publisher, Label or Society.
Understanding of the digital landscape.
An aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving.
Ability to use own initiative.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to understand and then explain complex processes.
Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness and ability to learn and effectively use multiple bespoke systems.
Desirable
Knowledge of Domo/Quicksight or other analytics packages.
Use of Monday.com/Jira/Trello.
Experience with licensing agreements.
Experience of maintaining operational relationships with business partners across multiple territories
