Job Description

Kobalt is looking for a music business affairs attorney for Kobalt’s Los Angeles office. This person will be responsible for drafting music industry agreements relating primarily to music publishing.

WHAT DOES A SR. MANAGER, BUSINESS AFFAIRS AT KOBALT DO?

  • Draft agreements for music publishing
  • Update legal templates as required
  • Draft demand letters and other correspondence
  • Other business affairs/legal tasks and projects as assigned

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JD Degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role at a law firm or in-house music company
  • Experience drafting music publishing agreements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player with high standards and integrity
  • Organized, reliable, and results-driven
  • Basic proficiency with GSuite, including Gmail, GCalendar and GDrive
