Perplex is a high-end electronic music events brand, founded on the premise of elevating the way electronic music is experienced by the modern consumer. The Operations Manager will guide the brand through international expansion by collaborating with Local Partners in various territories to ensure seamless delivery of premium events. This role demands strong leadership to harmonise localised management with a global vision, implementing Perplex’s standards of excellence and best practices for consistent quality.
Key Role Responsibilities
Define event objectives, scope, and concept with Managing Directors
Develop event budget and track forecasted vs. actual revenues/costs in progress meetings
Devise event production plan and guest experience in line with Perplex’s high-end brand nature
Work with Managing Director on securing event and/or territory-specific sponsorship packages
Manage relationships with local partners and oversee their event execution
Ensure local partners source staff and suppliers on par with Perplex’s standards of excellence
Ensure events are compliant with local licensing and insurance requirements
Oversee talent logistics and rider coordination between Perplex Advancing team and local Artist Liaison
Reconcile revenues/costs, finalise event payments, and submit Event P&L reports with commentary
Complete post-event report, evaluate performance and integrate feedback for continuous improvement
Manage travel plans - booking flights/accommodation for site visits and events
Manage Perplex’s head office function and act as the main point of call for suppliers, venues and staff members
Key Attributes
4+ years experience within the hospitality / events industry
Highly organised, with exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and delegate actions across the business
Open minded, entrepreneurial with a passion to join a high-growth, premium events business
Holding a driving license and personal license is a plus, but not a necessity
Package: £45k - 50k (dependent on experience), plus out of hours pay, event related bonus and international travel.
Starting date: ASAP
Location: 3 days per week from Central London office. Regular international trips (site visits and event dates).
