Job Offer - Internship (f-m-x)

To complement our current team, we are looking for someone who can support our team by assisting on the logistical and productional advancing of shows. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility, is punctual, discrete and willing to learn. We are a diverse team and invest in learning from each other’s perspectives and are looking for a colleague with an inclusive attitude. There is, unfortunately, no room for extensive research or study assignments during office hours.

Octopus Agents is a booking agency that focuses on contemporary electronic dance music. We represent over 40 artists, mostly worldwide. The position on offer is based in Amsterdam and we work from the office between 09:30 – 18:30 from Monday to Friday. As such we’re looking for someone based in, or around, Amsterdam.

Vacancy: Internship – Production & Logistics (f/m/x)

Activities:
• Assisting on the worldwide (pre-)production and logistics for performances;
• Booking and administering travel, hotels, ground transport and other logistical requirements;
• Drafting technical and hospitality riders;
• Filing work permits, visa or other documents required for the artist to perform;
• File management of all travel documents (i.e. passport, visa, insurance);
• Collecting and confirming guestlist;
• Keeping notes at (advancing) meetings;
• Assisting agents, artists and (tour) managers where needed;
• Various office management tasks.

• You are able to work both commercially and creatively; 
• You are used to adapt different communication styles and cultural communication styles;
• You are discrete, open to learn and think in solutions;
• You can work carefully, punctual, calmly and feel responsible for your actions; 
• You are able to work proactively and as part of a team; 
• You understand and value the musical spectrum we operate in;
• You are interested in building an inclusive working space;
• Conscious and a constructive attitude towards the environmental state of our planet and social topics;
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing is a must, any extra language is a bonus.
• Enrolled as a student. The position is on bachelor (HBO) level. However, we are interested in your skills and knowledge, not in your qualifications on paper.

Physical requirements
Ability to look at a screen for extended periods of time. Ability to maintain a professional and flexible demeanor within a fast paced environment.
