The A Side: A Day in The Life

The SAP P2P Product Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within the organization. This senior role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, work closely with IT teams developing / executing solution strategies and ensuring seamless integration across various SAP modules and related systems. The role requires a deep understanding of procurement, sourcing, and payment processes, along with extensive experience in SAP MM, products like SAP Ariba. Coupa or GEP and its related integrated platforms to ensure the P2P solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with industry best practices.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

Be Technical

• Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive SAP S2P/P2P solutions, covering procurement, sourcing, contract management, supplier management, inventory management, invoice, and payment processing

• Develop and document functional and technical specifications, solution blueprints, and system configurations that align with business objectives
• Oversee the implementation of SAP S2P/P2P solutions, including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, SAP Ariba) and non-SAP systems
• Lead the integration of SAP S2P/P2P processes with third-party systems and platforms as required
• Act as the primary point of contact for SAP S2P/P2P-related initiatives, providing expert guidance and resolving complex issues
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and demonstrations to ensure user adoption and effective use of S2P/P2P solutions
• Engage with senior management to provide updates, insights, and recommendations on S2P/P2P strategies and initiatives
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation within the S2P/P2P lifecycle
• Stay current with SAP product enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation
• Develop and implement best practices, standards, and methodologies for S2P/P2P processes
• Lead and manage S2P/P2P projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with industry best practices

Be Collaborative

• Collaborate with business units to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of SAP functional consultants, SAP BTP developers, and analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, including procurement, finance, and supply chain teams, to gather and analyse requirements and ensure that solutions meet their needs
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure successful project execution

Person Specification

Necessary

• Strong experience in SAP S2P/P2P solution design, implementation, and support
• Extensive experience with SAP MM, SD, FICO SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and related platforms
• Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP S2P/P2P projects in a global environment
• Experience with SAP ERP integration, SAP BTP, and other enterprise applications
• Strong expertise in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and financial processes
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills with the ability to design and implement complex solutions
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• SAP certification in S2P/P2P or related modules is highly desirable
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus
• Experience working in highly customized environments and ability to read and debug ABAP code
• Experience working in SAP BTP solutions would be an advantage
