Job Description

The Berlin Music Commission networks, strengthens and represents players from all areas of the music industry and is also their mouthpiece for politics and other industries. Through active networking and with the help of various advisory and event formats, it bundles creative and economic potential. In this way, sustainable projects are developed that make the players fit for the demands of an increasingly digitalised world and contribute to the professionalisation of the music industry.

In close cooperation with our management, we are offering a position as a team assistant in the BMC office from January 2025.

Your tasks:

  • As an assistant, you will support our team in all administrative and organisational tasks. You will work with the management and the COO and help in particular in the day-to-day business of the office and in the administration and support of the cooperative's committees and members as well as in reporting.
  • The team assistant takes on coordinative tasks and is the first point of contact for operational matters.
  • You will be responsible for organising and taking minutes at our meetings.

Your profile:

  • You have a state-recognised qualification in the music or event sector and have basic commercial knowledge and skills.
  • You have a high degree of self-organisation, accuracy and initiative and extensive experience in the required areas of responsibility.
  • You are a friendly and team-oriented person with excellent communication skills, interpersonal sensitivity, organisational competence and creative vision.
  • You have a very good grasp of things, the ability to work under pressure, a willingness to perform and good time management skills.
  • You have a good feel for language, text skills and internet and social media expertise.
  • You have very good knowledge of the common MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • full working proficiency in German 

Would be a plus:

  • Practical experience in dealing with public funding and administrations
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the music and creative industries
  • Basic knowledge of preparatory accounting

Working hours: 32 hours per week

Duration: due to the project-based work, limited until 31 December 2025 with option to extend

Remuneration: based on TV-L 05, level classification depends on experience and educational background.
