What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for becoming an expert across the repertoire from Decca Records and UMR (our catalogue division) and being able to communicate enthusiastically about it with our clients.
Must have the ability for bringing in new business and be entrepreneurial.
Responding to briefs on time, as well as increasing the number of projects we have in those areas.
Liaise with Marketing, A&R and artist management to ensure we have most up to date assets for the artists on Decca and UMR.
Marketing the roster in new and inventive ways.
Setting up meetings with clients, going in-house to pitch songs and obtain new briefs.
Attending label meetings.
Attending gigs with clients on a weekly basis.
Helping to organise client events and showcases, always thinking ahead of the curve with exciting ideas.
Assist with music clearance when required.
Person Specification
Must have the understanding, expertise and passion in the genres Decca covers (especially in the Classical Music space) and is excited to delve into the deep cuts of our vast catalogue.
Experience working in a creative role either at a Record Label, Music Publisher or music supervision company, with proven results in placing music in advertising.
A broad knowledge of music across all genres and decades, as well as a keen interest in pop culture.
An existing comprehensive client network.
Understanding the value of music in the sync market, to ensure the right tracks are being pitched within budget.
Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative.
Highly organised with a good administrative foundation.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communicator with excellent people skills.
Strong IT skills, including editing music to picture.
