Job Description

We are inviting applications for our Summer Internship Programme 2024-2025.

The internship runs for 3 months over the summer. You will be placed into one of our development squads and have regular contact with a mentor throughout your internship.

Below you will see a desciption of one of the projects that you will be tasked with:

  • As an intern on our Data Pipeline project, you'll have the opportunity to work on our cutting-edge ETL (extract, transform, load) data stack. You will help transform raw data into clean, organized formats, enabling you to create compelling visualizations that deliver valuable business insights, such as user cohort creation. This role offers the chance to deepen your SQL skills while working with advanced tools like Airbyte, dbt, and Dagster. A passion for data and a curiosity for uncovering insights are key to success in this position.
  • As an intern on our Virtual Console project you'll have the opportunity to work on our prime time DJ products. You'll be developing tooling that will be used across our team and stakeholders to increase our speed of development and concept approval. You'll be working with C++ and Qml and you'll have the opportunity to refine your skills developing for multiple platforms, gathering requirements and producing user graphics.
  • As an intern on our Automation Project you'll be extending our Automated Test framework developed in Typescript. This tool helps us maintain much higher quality standards for our products than manual test could alone. This is achieved by executing substantial portions of our regression suite whenever a developer wishes to add code to our products. This project would give you exposure to a variety of state-of-the-art tools for programmatically verifying the functionality of a extensive cross platform and embedded code base.
  • As an intern on our CI/CD Pipeline project you'll be working on various enhancements to improve the performance and visibility of our integration and deployment tooling. You'll be working with tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Python and Bash across Windows, Mac and Linux targets. Requirements

Completed a qualification in Computer Science or Data Science, or entering the final year thereof, or similar.

Be confident with mainstream languages of the web, such as Typescript, Python or confident with desktop development using C++ and or Qml.

Be able to work in Auckland, New Zealand. As this is an intern role, you would be expected to work from our offices in Eden Terrace.
