Job Description

Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.

Purpose of the role:
As the Regional Manager for Northern Europe, you will join the Global Content Network (GCN) Team to expand RA’s presence in the region. You will create and implement the regional strategy, hire and manage City Managers and support the global team in the GCN’s expansion. You will oversee local content, artist and label pages, and event listings to ensure diverse genre and community representation. Additionally, you will support editorial content, RA events, and business development for RA Pro. You will also collaborate on GCN-wide projects with other Regional Managers across the world.

Key responsibilities:

  • Initial core regions: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland
  • Creating RAs regional strategy for future growth in Northern Europe with the Region’s General Manager
  • Management, recruitment and support of City Managers globally
  • Management and maintenance of the infrastructure of the Global Content Network 
  • Growing RA’s audience and profile in key cities by shaping and delivering on quarterly and annual goals
  • Monitoring regional data and providing feedback to the Global Content Network Team and City Managers
  • Grow RA’s involvement in local communities in key cities through community projects and partnering with local promoters
  • Assist with event listings and RA Picks from major cities in Northern Europe
  • Acting as the liaison between our Editorial team and City Managers in the region, assisting with local news and feature ideas
  • Help organise and coordinate regional RA events
  • Business development; work with the Revenue Team to identify potential clients 

We’re looking for:

  • Embedded within the Northern Europe scene with a wide existing network
  • A passion for electronic music and an in-depth understanding of the industry
  • Proven success in a managerial role 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills
  • We primarily communicate in English, but fluency in additional languages from the core regions is a plus for this specific role.
