The A Side: A Day in The Life

The Commercial Assistant will be a key part of the Commercial Division, sitting within Universal Music’s Central Commercial & Creative Services Division.

This is a support role helping with a range of tasks to ensure the delivery of assets, analysis and reporting to our key stakeholders. The right candidate must be proactive with a strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.  A healthy appetite for teamwork and communication skills are also needed with an approachable attitude.

This role will focus support on the Digital Partnerships work delivered by the team, both internal labels and 3rdParty, so an interest in this area is desirable. Strong technical and computer skills with a desire to learn new technologies, processes, and application is required, with the ability to use these skills to proactively problem solve and improve processes.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

  • Support and delivery of schedules and assets to partners.
  • Support and delivery of reporting to labels and other central teams.
  • Support ad hoc requests and data collection for stakeholders across the business at various levels.
  • Support data collection and key analysis on content monetisation.
  • Contribute to team brainstorming and label meetings.

Person Specification

  • Strong computer skills with a desire to learn new technologies, processes, and applications (an understanding of SQL is desirable).
  • Commercially aware & highly numerate.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and confident individual.
  • Methodical individual with excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Good, proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
